Deathproof CrossFit is, fundamentally, a school of body position and mechanics of human movement. Like other gyms its mission is to create fitness, and thereby, health. Unlike other gyms it has a constantly running process which can be entered at any time, by anyone, with the same inevitable result, optimal physical performance which is commonly termed fitness.
Classes involve small-group (less than 12 athletes) instructor-led movement practice. Warm-up, technique instruction, workout-of-the-day (WOD) and mobilization are all directed by experienced, qualified staff. Adjustments for strength, fitness, body composition, physical challenges or age are constantly adjusted to get the most from every workout.

Appropriate Scaling
Not everyone needs a heavy barbell to improve their fitness. We'll tailor the workouts for your age, condition and ability and any injuries or flexibility challenges.

Graduated Intensity
We have a rule at Retaliation. Never tell a coach "I can't...". We start easy but you'll progress quickly. Say "I can't...yet". Attitude determines altitude.
Biasing for Specialization
Choose workouts to target your marathon time, complete an Ironman, smash a Spartan Race with CrossFit Endurance or emulate MMA conditioning with CrossFit Striking. Each specialist program emphasizes the areas of fitness that you want to optimize while maintaining a high level of general physical preparedness.

We measure every result, every day. You'll know how your body is responding. No more looking in the mirror, trying to guess if you have improved. You'll know in what way and how much.
Social Contribution
Cops, firefighters, EMTs, military. They're the ones who really need to be fit enough to face the unknown and the unknowable. As our contribution to the people of Columbus we train these groups at a vastly reduced rate of 50% so that they may better serve our community and come home safe each evening. We thank them all for their service.
